Enterprising, Creative Contributors
Policy
Our view is that one activity will not lead to supporting pupils to achieve these principles. It is about everything that we do
Evidence
- Curriculum mapping.
Substrands
Observing and Noticing
- We encourage pupils to notice patterns. To identify different things in the news which link.
Making Links with Literacy, Numeracy, DCF and Digital Competency.
-Curriculum is taught in a holistic theme. This allows pupils to use a range of different opportunities to link learning using different skills. See theme book evidence.
Taking Risks
- During our outdoor learning work.
During sport.
During learning - we encourage pupils to try challenging levels.
Being Creative
- We allow pupils to decide how they are going to present work. - During opportunities for learners to engage in creative curriculum.
Problem Solving
- During activities, such as REAL, we aim to support pupils to work individually, in a pair and as a group.
Entrepreneurial Awareness
- During REAL Projects, pupils decide to run businesses.
- Each year we run an event for pupils.
Impact
Refine/Improve:
- Opportunities for creativity. We need to audit this area but we know that staff find it challenging to cover the curriculum. It is likely that we need to protect some areas here.
